Discovering Fossil Forests: STEM Kits Strategies from the U.S. and Indonesia

  • 2 min read

Join us for our forth Friends of Fossil Forests webinar! This special session brings together three distinct disciplines to explore how cross-cultural strategies in fossil wood learning can transform STEM education to share their behind the scene of our recent paper: Fossil Forests Kits: A Hands-on Approach to Paleobotany & Paleoclimate.

Project Spotlight: Localizing STEM

Our collaboration doesn't just move materials; it adapts ideas. By taking the foundation of the Colorado State University (CSU) STEM kits and working with social scientist and local paleobotanists, we ensure the content resonates with both US and Indonesian students. This "Fossil Forest STEM kit" is a bridge between two volcanic landscapes, separated by an ocean but united by deep time.
