Sam Allen is a retired business executive having been a CEO at a number of large and small companies, and then for 17 years was an executive coach to business owners and CEOs.  He got his MBA from the University of Southern California and started his career as a CPA.  Sam brings his business and CPA background to the Board and took a leading role in setting up our nonprofit status.  Being retired has allowed him now to focus on his love of petrified wood.  He has built a lab in his home where he can prepare and study microscope sides of thin sections.  He has spent a number of seasons collecting and studying petrified wood from the Eden Valley area of Wyoming.
